LLAMA Thought Leaders Webinar will feature Rebekkah Smith Aldrich

Rebekkah Smith AldrichThe Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA), a division of ALA, will present a free webinar featuring Rebekkah Smith Aldrich, on Nov. 12, at 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Central Time. This is part of LLAMA’s ongoing series of webinars featuring thought leaders from a wide variety of libraries.

Aldrich is a passionate advocate for public libraries and believes that libraries can change the world. She currently serves as the Coordinator for Library Sustainability at the Mid-Hudson Library System (NY) where she assists 66 public libraries daily in the areas of leadership, funding and facilities.

Aldrich holds an advanced certificate in Public Library Administration from the Palmer School of Library and Information Science at Long Island University. She is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP); a certified Sustainable Building Advisor; the author of the Handbook for New Public Library Directors in New York State; co-author of the Handbook for Public Library Trustees in New York State; and author of the forthcoming book “Sustainable Thinking” from ALA Editions. A founding member of the American Library Association’s Sustainability Roundtable, Aldrich worked to help pass the 2015 ALA Resolution on the Importance of Sustainable Libraries. She was named a Library Journal Mover & Shaker and is a frequent national presenter on the topic of leading libraries forward in smart, practical and effective ways.
