LAMA seeks nominations for division awards

The Library Administration and Management Association (LAMA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), seeks nominations for the 2008 Recognition of Group Achievement Award, Leadership Award and President’s Award. The deadline for nominations and supporting materials is December 2, 2007.

The LAMA Recognition of Group Achievement Award recognizes groups or committees that provide outstanding service in support of LAMA and its sections and committees; the LAMA Leadership Award is given to honor an individual LAMA member for outstanding contributions in support of LAMA and its sections and committees; and the LAMA President’s Award recognizes extraordinary contributions to the goals of LAMA by outside organizations or by individuals who are not LAMA members.

All awards consist of a citation to be presented at the LAMA President’s Program during the 2008 ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif.
