LEADS from LLAMA

The LLAMA committee volunteer form for section and division-level appointments is now open.  Click here  to learn more and to volunteer. The deadline to volunteer is May 30, and terms begin July 1, 2014.

Your committee service will not only allow you to impact our profession, but will help you develop leadership skills while building a professional network of colleagues. There are volunteer opportunities available throughout LLAMA, including both division and section committees. Division level committees support the work of the entire division and are critical to helping us meet our members’ needs. Section level committees are more focused and are the key to our high quality programming, both online and at conferences. These eight specialized sections are:
·    Buildings and Equipment (BES)
·    Fundraising and Financial Development (FRFDS)
·    Human Resources (HRS)
·    Library Organization and Management (LOMS)
·    Measurement, Assessment, and Evaluation (MAES)
·    New Professionals (NPS)
·    Public Relations and Marketing (PRMS)
·    Systems and Services (SASS)

For a complete list of committees and their work, click here.  Please note that attendance at the ALA Midwinter Meeting and Annual Conference is not a requirement of committee service. However, members of all LLAMA committees are expected to fully participate in the work of the group whether by working virtually or face-to-face. If you are currently on a committee with a term ending June 30, and you would like to be re-appointed, please let your committee chair know.

LLAMA is committed to meeting the needs of our members and we need your talent and ideas.  We encourage you or a colleague to volunteer to be part of our leadership network in 2014 and beyond.
