LLAMA webinar presents successful project management skills

Librarians increasingly manage complex projects – both within their libraries and across departments – as well as in collaborative efforts in the community, on grants, and with other units on campus. The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Project Management: A Skill Set Every Leader Needs” on Wed., Nov. 6, 2013 from 1:30 – 3:00 pm Central Time. This webinar will present the concepts of project management and will demonstrate how they have been used for successful implementation of specific library projects.

At the end of this program, participants will:
• Understand the basic elements of project management
• Understand how project management has been used in two library or library-related settings
• Feel empowered to apply project management principles to projects at their own libraries
Presenters: Chestalene Pintozzi is the Director of Project Management and Assessment at the University of Arizona Libraries in Tucson, Arizona. Kevin Barclay is the Assistant Director of Deschutes Public Library in Bend, Oregon.
