AIA/ALA Library Buildings Award seeks Jury Nominations

Chicago:  The Building and Equipment Section (BES) Library Building Awards Committee of The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) is seeking nominations and applications for jurors for the 2011 Library Buildings Award competition.  Jointly sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the prestigious biennial awards recognize distinguished accomplishments in library architecture by American architects.

The jury consists of three librarians selected by ALA, and three architects selected by AIA.  The LLAMA BES Library Building Awards Committee will review applications and select the ALA jurors.  The LLAMA President will make the official appointments to the jury by May 14, 2010.  Judging will take place in January, 2011 at the AIA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
