LLAMA Tour at Annual
There is still time to register for one of LLAMA’s renowned pre-conferences that will take place on Friday, July 10, 2009, in Chicago.
Uncommonly Sustainable: The New Information Commons at Loyola University Chicago, this on-site pre-conference at the Richard J.Klarchek Information Commons at Loyola University Chicago offers the opportunity to see and experience first hand a new state-of-the-art knowledge environment for students. The architect, dean of libraries, facilities and IT managers, and director of the Learning Commons — the experts at Loyola — will address the planning, design, features, and operation of this resource. Spanning four floors, the Learning Commons includes smart group rooms, a digital media lab, and user assistance on all floors. The facility is Leed registered, and incorporates numerous energy efficient technologies. The pre-conference includes ample time to tour the Learning Commons and see the infrastructure that supports it. For more information, see http://www.luc.edu/ic/
