LLAMA webinar presents new tactics to keep employees engaged

Now that you finally have that nearly perfect staff in place, your work is almost done, right? Well, maybe not. Keeping your employees engaged and motivated can be an even bigger challenge. The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present: “Engaging Employees in the Library: Keep the Energy Going!” on Wed., April 6, at 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Central time).

This webinar will give an overview of research-based tactics for employee engagement, which is the first step toward fostering creativity and innovation. Tactics discussed include flexible working policies, autonomy of time, autonomy of task, and the idea of flow. In addition to the theories behind these ideas, the webinar will feature discussion of their applications in library settings, and practical ways to implement them..

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain research-based principles behind employee engagement
  • Apply engagement principles to the library setting
  • Adapt principles to their own library environments
  • Discuss the importance of employee engagement to innovation
