LEADS from LLAMA

As a result of a three-year ALA Emerging Leaders project, LLAMA is seeking to form a ‘New Professionals Section’. This new Section would provide a suite of programs and services to help LIS students and new professionals identify and develop skills in leadership and management, and connect them with the vast resources and service opportunities throughout ALA.

According to the LLAMA bylaws, the creation of a new section requires the support of at least 100 ALA members. But even if you aren’t an ALA member and support the formation of this new Section, we want to hear from you!

If successful, the petition will be presented for approval this fall, and the first meeting held at the 2014 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia.
