LEADS from LLAMA

In the just-completed ALA/LLAMA election, members overwhelmingly approved a new mission statement for the organization: “The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) advances outstanding leadership and management practices in library and information services by encouraging and nurturing individual excellence in current and aspiring library leaders.”

During its strategic planning process, the LLAMA Board developed the new mission and submitted it to members for approval, believing that it better describes LLAMA’s commitment to provide the knowledge, skills, resources, and tools that help our members foster individual and organizational excellence in library leadership, administration, and management.  The 2012-15 LLAMA strategic plan can be reviewed here.
