Workshop at ALA Annual: To change your library, change your mind!

The Leadership Skills Committee of the Human Resources Section of LAMA (the Library Administration and Management Association) is pleased to announce its sponsorship of “To change your library, change your mind!”

Sunday, June 24, 8:30-noon.

In this comprehensive hands-on workshop, participants explore three (3)approaches to managing change at all levels of operations in all types of libraries:

– Power – Strategies for creating a change process
– Reason – Overcoming resistance to change whether in charge or not
– Re-education – The change-as-learning implementation model

Whether you are a library director, manager, technical services specialist, or on the front-line of a public services desk, you will walk away from this seminar with an understanding of what it takes — on a personal or institutional level — to cope with change and expand and strengthen your skills as a change agent, with or without control.

Presenters:
