LLAMA webinar helps you understand your organizational culture

What is your library’s organizational culture and why does it matter? Understanding the way people and groups in your organization interact with each other, with patrons, and with stakeholders can be the key to making positive changes and helping people adapt to them successfully. The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present Analyzing staff engagement and connections to understand organizational culture on Wednesday, June 6, at 1:30-3:00 pm Central Time.

This webinar will highlight the system and methodology used by Northwestern University Library to understand its organizational culture and the specific impacts of a recent restructuring, and it will show how it can be done on a smaller scale. It will also cover what was learned and how that has been applied to improve communication, build better teams, and develop a more supportive culture.

Participants will learn:

-How to conduct a social connections (network) analysis of your organization
-How to conduct a staff and user engagement survey
-How to use this data to build effective teams, leverage organizational culture, and improve communication.

This webinar addresses change management, one of LLAMA’s Foundational Leadership Competencies.
