LEADS from LLAMA

LAMA announces the availability of its first digital download monograph, “Growing Leaders from Within: A Practical Guide for Recognizing and Developing Leadership Skills in the Library.”

The publication compiles presentations from LAMA Human Resource Section programs addressing the crisis of leadership succession anticipated with the onset of baby boomer retirements. The library leaders who contributed to the programs and this publication provide insight on how to recognize talent and develop staff members who show leadership potential, along with information and specific applications that have proven successful in a variety of library settings.
