LAMA’s New Executive Director

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I send you this message about LAMA’s new Executive Director. Kerry Ward has accepted the position and will officially start on July 3. As many of you know, Kerry has been with ALA for the past 8 years and is currently the executive director for ALTA. He brings to LAMA more than 18 years of association experience. He has been assisting LAMA since February so already has a excellent knowledge of LAMA and its programs. His expertise will help LAMA to attract new members, give greater value to the membership and assist us in moving the strategic plan forward. Kerry will come to as many LAMA programs and meetings at Annual as possible, but he will be busy with ALTA programs and members during the conference.

Please join me in welcoming Kerry to the LAMA family. You can contact him at kward@ala.org.

Finally, special thanks to Paul Anderson, Bede Mitchell and Catherine Murray-Rust who were on the interview panel for the position. Thank you for your hard work and congratulations on selecting such a great candidate.
