ENCOURAGE MANAGEMENT RESEARCH ON TOPICS OF INTEREST TO YOU
In order to promote and encourage research, the LAMA Research Committee is once again compiling a list of potential research topics on any and all aspects of library organization and management. As it has done in the past, the Committee intends to make the list available to potential researchers as a source of possible ideas for further study and development. The Committee believes that one of the most practical ways to create such a list is to ask management practitioners to identify research topics in which they are interested, or on which they think research is needed or would be helpful. So, if you as a practicing librarian would like to encourage research on a specific topic, please send your response(s) to the following question to LAMA Research Committee member, Dana Sally, Associate Library Director,
University of North Carolina at Greensboro, via e-mail to: dana_sally@uncg.edu.
Question:Â On which areas or topics of library organization, administration, or management (broadly construed) would you like to see further research?
Please send us your suggestions by June 11, 2002.If you have questions, please let me know. Feel free to share this message with anyone you think would be interested. Thanks.
–Dana Sally
