LLAMA Webinar: “Pushing A Boulder Uphill — Leading Organizational Change In An Entrenched Environment”

Implementing and leading organizational change is tricky in any situation; but it is even more difficult in entrenched institutions that have suffered from a lack of new ideas and perspectives. Often, it can feel like you are suffering like the mythical Sisyphus; and pushing a boulder uphill, only to have it roll back down. But it doesn’t have to be that way! The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Pushing A Boulder Uphill — Leading Organizational Change In An Entrenched Environment,” on Wednesday, August 9, at 1:30-3:00 pm (Central Time).

In this webinar, presenters Phill Johnson and Jessica Hayes will describe their experience in leading organizational change, explain how to strengthen or build leadership skills for this challenge, and highlight activities and techniques that lead to success.

This webinar addresses change management, one of LLAMA’s 14 Foundational Leadership Competencies.

By the end of this webinar, participants will:
* Know how to Identify and understand what an entrenched library environment looks like
* Learn some examples of successful leadership in organizational change
* Understand the three most important skills needed by leaders responsible for organizational change
* Identify three activities/techniques to implement in an entrenched organization
