LLAMA project management webinar helps you work smarter

The very term “project management” can send shivers down the spine of even the most experienced librarian. Fortunately, there are now a variety of new ways to approach project-based work in a systematic and effective way. The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present “Work Smart: Applying Project Management Techniques to Library Projects ,” on Wed., August 24, at 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Central time).

This webinar will explore traditional and agile project management, and provide examples of successful library projects.  It will also cover project management tools and information resources, and the skills necessary to be a successful project manager.

Participants will learn:  

  • The foundations of various project management techniques.
  • Essential resources and texts on project management.
  • Practical tools and programs for tracking project work.
  • How to anticipate potential project pitfalls and risks.

Who Should Attend: Anyone who oversees projects or would like to approach work in a more systematic way.
