LLAMA President’s Program will feature best-selling author William Ury

Dr. William UryThe Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) will present author William Ury as its President’s Program speaker at the 2016 ALA Annual Conference in Orlando, on Sat., June 25, 10:30 am – 12:00 Noon.  Ury is coauthor of the best-selling Getting to Yes, and, most recently, Getting to Yes with Yourself: (and Other Worthy Opponents. 

Ury is the cofounder of Harvard’s Program on Negotiation, and is one of the world’s best-known and most influential experts on negotiation. He has served as a mediator in boardroom battles, labor conflicts, and civil wars around the world, consulted for dozens of Fortune 500 companies, and has served as a consultant to the White House. In addition to Getting to Yes, the best-selling negotiation book in the world, Ury has coauthored seven other books, including the New York Times bestsellers Getting Past No and The Power of a Positive No. His TED talk, The Walk from “No” to “Yes” has been viewed more than 1.4 million times.

Following his presentation, Ury will sign copies of his latest book, Getting to Yes with Yourself (and Other Worthy Opponents).
