LLAMA webinar explores how to talk about a planned gift

Ever have a donor tell you that she “wishes she could do more”? Effective fundraisers welcome such statements, but they are just the beginning of a much greater conversation. The Library Leadership and Management Association’s Fundraising and Financial Development Section (LLAMA-FRFDS) will present “Conversations with Donors: How to Talk About Gift Planning,” on Wed., Jan. 27, at 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Central time). This webinar explores what to say in order to continue the conversation and how to introduce gift planning concepts to donors. Included are a series of case studies, examples of collaboration and an overview of some of the most common gift vehicles.

Participants will:

  • Learn about the most effective gift planning strategies.
  • Be introduced to a gift planning tool kit.
  • Learn about legacy gifts and how they can fit into fundraising plans for the library.

Who Should Attend: Development and advancement staff, directors, and deans at academic and public libraries.
