LEADS from LLAMA

The LLAMA Board of Directors has approved creation of a new standing divisional Competencies Committee. LLAMA members who are interested in serving on this committee should contact LLAMA President Janine Golden at jgolden@mail.twu.edu by June 1.

The Competencies Committee charge is “To identify, develop, evaluate, and review library leadership and management competencies on a periodic, recurring basis; to submit recommendations concerning competency documents to the Leadership Coordinating Group.”  The Committee will conduct most of its work electronically.

The Committee will follow the procedures recommended by the Library Leadership and Management Competencies Task Force.  The Task Force Report outlines the nature and scope of the work to be done, and was approved by the Board in May 2012.
