EBSCO Travel Award

Here is an excellent funding opportunity for you or your staff to help fund Annual Conference participation.

The EBSCO ALA Conference Sponsorship provides ten $1,000 awards for actual reimbursed expenses to help librarians attend ALA’s Annual Conference. To apply for this award, applicants must submit an essay of no more than 250 words addressing, how will attending this ALA Conference contribute to your professional development? The award is donated by EBSCO Subscription Services. For more information and

Requirements

  • Applicants must be ALA members
  • Applicants must not supervise another professional
    librarian (MLS).
  • All applicants must submit an essay of NO MORE THAN
    250 WORDS answering the question: “How will attending this ALA Conference contribute to my professional development?”

  • Clear Goals and Benefits of Attendance
  • Commitment to ALA and the library profession
  • Enthusiasm
  • Financial Need
